Kevin Edmondson, 53, of Canterbury, (top right) was killed instantly when his powerboat crashed at 80mph during the last leg of a race at West Bay, near Bridport on Sunday. He suffered severe head injuries when a boat’s propeller struck him at the Offshore Circuit Racing Drivers Association race. Daughter Demi Edmondson paid tribute to her father in a touching message on social media, saying 'R.I.P you absolute legend. You're with grandad now (inset).’ Mr Edmondson's co-pilot and girlfriend Annika Hawthorne (bottom right) was also in the boat at the time of the crash and rushed to Dorset County Hospital, but didn’t sustain any serious injuries. A friend posted a series of photos which he believes are the last ever taken of Mr Edmondson. The haunting images show powerboats racing prior to the horror crash (main).
