Israeli police reported a suspected "terrorist" opened fire in Jaffa, south of Tel Aviv, on Tuesday, resulting in several casualties. At least two gunmen were involved in the attack.
Israel said both terrorists were shot dead.
Four people were killed and seven others injured in the attack, police said.
