STORYLINE:
An EgyptAir aricraft landed in Larnaca, Cyprus on Tuesday evening to transport passengers who were subjected to a hijacking earlier in the day to Cairo, their original destination.
The Egyptian wearing a fake explosives belt who hijacked a domestic EgyptAir flight and forced it to land in Cyprus on Tuesday morning surrendered and was taken into custody after releasing all passengers and crew unharmed following an hours-long standoff.
