#WATCH: "They're good at pronouns. They're good at CRT and DEI. But they lost a war-fighting edge."
During a Q&A session at a Young America's Foundation event at the University of Pittsburgh, Lt. Col. Allen West discussed the threats facing America today—including what a US response to another 9/11-like attack might look like.
West was not too optimistic about a befitting US response to a repeat of 9/11. He lamented that the US Army and Marine Corps had not met their required recruitment and retention levels in the past 4 years.
The retired military officer claimed that the current strength of the US Marine Corps is around 180,000, which is smaller than what it was more than 100 years ago during the First World War, while the US Army has fewer troops than the number of "criminal illegal immigrants" in the country.
West also sarcastically pointed out that the US Army has gotten better with pronouns, Critical Race Theory (CRT), and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), but has lost its "war-fighting edge" in the process.
