According to a Stanford study that started in 2015, police pull over a staggering 50,000 drivers on an average day, which amounts to over 20 million people every single year. That’s over 20 million people pulled over to the side of the road.
And even though the laws governed by the police are rather similar wherever you go, pretty much every police department around the globe does even the basic things differently. For example, police officers in the United States have a tendency to touch the tail light of your car.
This is a peculiar tradition that the Internet has debated about for a long time now. It wasn’t until recently that it came to light what it actually means.
