Having not seen my family and friends for close to two years straight, I needed to spend some time at home. Getting in much needed quality time with everyone back home. My original intent was to be back in Europe for only three months, flying back to New Zealand in the European spring.

Being around, and having ample free time, to enjoy the last few months of late grandfather's life turned out to be one of the highlights of the year. The way the whole family came together and celebrate his life was something I would not have wanted to miss.

I got to visit Austria four times and Sweden three times in 2022. Travelled to Scotland & Wales.. all in all I had an incredible year in Europe. In my time off I spent close to a month digitalising old VHS tapes from my youth, which in turn led me to create this montage. A fun mix of old vs. new footage.
