Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, a spiritual guru who just received parole, has unveiled a brand-new song video in which he appears on Diwali night. According to reports, Ram Rahim, who is on parole for 40 days, is at a Dera site in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, where the "Sadi Nit Diwali" video was also filmed. Mahua Moitra, Trinamool Congress MP, called for codified parole regulations similar to those in the US and the UK. She emphasized that parole cannot only be left up to the whims of biassed state government employees. The timing of the release granted to the extremely prominent leader also sparked some controversy. On November 3, a crucial byelection is scheduled for Adampur in Haryana's Hissar.
