How to make some juicy and tender Mauritian-style meatballs.
Here's what you'll need:
INGREDIENTS
- 500g ground beef
- Tapioca starch
- Sesame oil and vegetable oil
- Light and dark soya sauce
- Pepper
- Grated ginger
- Spring Onion to garnish
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, and grated ginger,
2. Mix well until all the ingredients are well combined.
3. Once the mixture is ready, cover it and refrigerate for at least 4-8 hours or even better, overnight.
4. When you are ready to cook, shape the meat mixture into small balls, about the size of a golf ball.
5. Place the meatballs in a steamer, and steam for 15 minutes.
6. Garnish with spring onions
7. Serve hot with soya sauce and chilli and enjoy!
