The National Weather Service (NWS) has confirmed that an EF-1 tornado touched down in parts of Wayne and Holmes counties on Wednesday evening.
The National Weather Service says the touchdown occurred in Shreve at approximately 8:55 p.m. just north of Centerville Road. The tornado reached a maximum speed of 105 miles per hour, destroying two barns and damaging the roofs of two others. The storm also damaged a storage shelter, while snapping and uprooting several trees.
There were no injuries or fatalities reported.
