The border between New South Wales and Victoria reopened overnight courtesy of decreasing COVID case numbers and increasing vaccination coverage.
The changes, which will allow for free travel between states, will see orange zones changed to green zones.
As such, travellers will not need a negative test and to quarantine to enter the southern state.
Nevertheless, Victoria's permit system remains in place.
