How big in size do Gold Gourami fish get? They grow to a full size of 6 inches. That calls out for a pretty descent size tank remember. They are tough, IMO. One little change and an entire group will kill over. I used to think they were the easiest fish just cause the little thing on their tanks would list ease of care as "beginner"...YEAH RIGHT. Mine die if I look at them funny. I just gave up as well.
I think we had 5, lost them all in like a week. Decided maybe they weren’t the fish for us. I usually keep goldfish but we had a boil water advisory last year I didn’t catch and lost them. Ive had my Oscar almost 2 years I gusss he’s all I need for now fish wise. I've had nothing but trouble qwith livebearers. I finally have some that are hearty enough as well as a bunch of fry, and some in the way. I have 5 alive out of the 20 I had previously.
Angel fish! Bought juvies at my local family owned- breed in store. Four different times. Other compatible fish..fine. I may be crazy enough to try again. Love those stupid fish..lol. I no longer keep an aquarium, but who knows? I may go back to it in the future. Right now, the only place to get fish around here is Walmart. No more pet shops- they all went out of business.

When I was a kid you could pee into a bowl and keep them. Not that I tried it, but I know the ones we had were not taken care of as well as they should've been yet they thrived. Boseami Rainbows. I spent like 120 dollars on them and finally gave up. Gorgeous fish, and great for adding movement to a tank, but for the life of me I just couldnt keep them going more than 4 to 6 months.
