i was testing customer car when i heard about another e36 was leaking fuel. so i took initiative to help. turns out to be a simple fuel hose feed line came off. after chatting with the owner, who was happened to be one of the Top Automotive Reviewer in Indonesia, Ridwan Hanif, he let me test his E36 323i around the circuit.

Ridwan told me he made few reinforcements and suspension upgrades. i was surprised how good the car feel. it has a wheel alignment issue that causes understeer, but i felt it is more due to high rear tyres grip rather than lack of front tyres grip.

the ISC coilover is my favourite entry level coilovers. it is strong and comfortable. i almost thought Ridwan was running on stock sport suspension.

overall i think the car can do 1:59-2:00, but not today because the close 1 lane on the big S causing 2-3 additional seconds to your total laptime.

about this good example of old bmw e36 323i... at first i did not recognised this car, but after few minute taking a close look, i realised it looks too similar to andri’s and Yohanes’ old e36 323i... so i told ridwan and it turned out to be right! in that case, i knew about the quality of this car before.

the car alignment setup is still very safe, with plenty of rear grip. it could do with a little more front negative camber for abit more front end grip while turning, but overall it is still and agile car.
