Trans Siberian Highway is the world's second longest highway at nearly 11,000 km stretching from the Sea of Japan of the Pacific Coast to the Baltic Sea of the Atlantic Ocean, from Vladivostok to St. Petersburg. This had never been done solo before I attempted it in June 2016. I drove from Chennai, in a Mahindra XUV500, via China to the start point in Vladivostok. In three episodes I shall narrate the journey that was so unique that it was recognised as a World Record by Limca Book of Records. This part talks of the border crossing from Hunchun to Kraskinov and the drive from Vladivostok to Ulan Ude between 2 June and 7 June 2016. Well begun is half done, as the saying goes. And, it was so.
