To conserve complex content Madhukali organized Durlabh Raga Prasang, a three day event at Indore -- symposium, workshop and demonstration. On second day, Pt. Mansur taught students to demonstrate teaching methodology. He said that Guru-Shishya methodology used in India for thousand of years is the sole way of perfect oral transfer of knowledge. Sadly, it is not used in fields other than music today. It is for this reason too -- to safeguard valuable form of knowledge-transfer system -- that Guru-Shishya tradition in Indian music needs to be conserved.
After they had sung the composition, he informed them about the Raga. It was Lajwanti; another beautiful Raga which is rarely performed. Pt. Mansur holds that with right kind of riyaz, the learner can sing complex Raga-s without understanding their structure immediately.
