My dad picked this axe up second hand and gave it to me. I decided to restore it, but I liked the patina. I removed the rust with barkeeper's friend and and wire brush. The handle is a burned finish with a wax/oil sealer. I changed the grind on one side to a chopping grind with a splitting grind on the other side.
