Rudolph Valentino and His 88 American Beauties (1923) was a short movie made during the two year long dispute between Rudolph Valentino and Famous Players-Lasky, when he was forbidden to work for other studios. To avoid being completely forgotten by the public, he and Natacha Rambova embarked on a cross continental dance tour sponsored by Mineralava cosmetics. One of his contractual obligations to Mineralava required him to judge a beauty contest.
It's a little gem for all Rudy's fans and an interesting look into the history of beauty contests!
