Police with other investigative agencies conducted another major crackdown on the Popular Front of India(PFI) across 6 states on September 26. The raids are underway in Assam, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. During raids in Karnataka, over 75 PFI workers and leaders from its political wing, Social Democratic Party of India were taken into preventive custody. Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order Bengaluru, Alok Kumar said that Raichur District Ex President of the PFI, Mohmad Ismail is also arrested and has been sent to judicial custody. Over 106 members of PFI have been arrested by NIA during the raids across 15 states so far
