Easy Garlic Choy Sum (蒜蓉菜心)
Choy sum is popular Cantonese dish commonly serve as side dish. It’s a quick and easy dish you can make at home with only 10 minutes. No frying or tedious process needed- just steam the choy sum, pour the oyster garlic sauce, you’re done! This dish perfect serve with a bowl of rice.

Recipe:
500g choy sum
5-6 clove garlic, minced
1-2 tbsp water
1-2 tbsp oil for cooking
Seasoning:
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp white pepper
Method:
1.) Snap to separate the leaves and the stem, if using larger choy sum with thicker stems, peel off the fibrous parts of the stems with peeler.
2.) Wash the choy sum thoroughly and cut the stems into half. (Optional)
3.) Transfer to a steamer and steam the choy sum for 2 minutes.
4.) Heat 2 tbsp of oil, sauté the garlic until fragrant. Add in all the seasonings ingredients except the water.
5.) Stir to mix and then add in the water. Cook for few seconds. Pour the sauce over the steamed choy sum. Enjoy
