The printer used in the video is HP ENVY 6020e, but HP ENVY 6400 series is similar only with Automatic document feeder.
The setup is very similar on both using HP Smart App.

WIFI INSTRUCTIONS:

To create a NEW Wi-Fi connection between the HP printer and a Wi-Fi network, choose one of the following methods.

Method 1: Use a mobile device (such as a sma(phone or tablet)

1" Make sure your mobile device has been connected to your Wi-Fi network and you know your Wi-Fi password.
2. On the printer, press and hold the Wi-Fi Setup* button on the back of the printer for 3 seconds. Purple light will begin
moving along the front edge of the printer, indicating that the printer is in Setup Mode. (The light continues io mov*
until the printer is connected to the Wi-Fi Network.)
3. lf you have never installed the HP Smart app before, open a web browser, visit 123.hp.com to install the HP Smart
app, and then follow the instructions on your mobile device.
lf the HP Smart app is already installed, open the app. lf the printer isn't found, select .Add a new printer", and
then follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: After the printer connects successfully, the moving purple light turns off and is replaced by light-blue light.


Method 2: Use a computer

frlote: You might need to temporarily connected a USB cable between the printer and your computer during the setup process. Also, you might be
prompted to enter the Wi-Fi network name and password. (You can sometimes find them on the back or side of the W-Fi router if you have not
changed them,)

1. Make sure your computer has been connected to your Wi-Fi network.
2. On the printer, press and hold the Wi-Fi Setup* button on the back of the printer for 3 seconds. Purple light will begin
rnoving atong the front edge of the printer, indicating that the printer is in Setup Mode. (The light continues to move
until the printer is connected to the Wi-Fi Network.)
3. Complete the appropriate instructions:
o lf you have NOT installed the HP software or the HP Smart app before, open a web browser and visit
123.hp.com to install the HP software or the HP Smart app. Select "Connect a new printer", and then follow the
instructions.
o lf you have installed the HP software or the HP Smart app already, complete the following steps:

Windows@ 10: lf the HP printer software is installed, click the Start menu icon in the corner of the desktop, select "Aii
apps", click "HP", click the folder for the printer, select the printer icon, and then click "Connect a new printer".
lf the HP Smart app is installed, open the app. tf the printer isn't found, select "Add a new printer", and then follow the
on-screen instructions.
Windows@ 7: Click "Start", click "Programs" or "All Programs", click "HP", click the folder for your printer, click
"Printer Setup & Software", click "Connect a new printer", and then follow the on-screen instructions.

lf the HP Smart app is installed, open the app. lf the printer isn't found, select "Add a new printer", and then follow the
on-screen instructions.
Note: Afrer the printer connects successfully, the moving purple light tums off and is replaced by light-blue light.
