You're being questioned by the opposing attorney.
You brought a lawsuit against a careless doctor.
You believe he was negligent.
You believe he caused you harm and injury.
Your doctor denies all of your allegations.
During your lawsuit, you will need to answer questions during a question and answer process that is known as a deposition. Lawyers also call it an examination before trial. The answers you give represent your sworn testimony and carry the same exact weight as. if you're testifying at the time of trial in front of a judge and in front of a jury.
You're asked a series of questions.
On one of the questions, you give a knee jerk reaction and answer "NO."
You think about it for a moment and realize maybe you should have answered "Yes," but momentarily decided you'll leave your answer the way you did.
When you finish your deposition, you go home and begin to worry about whether that answer is going to affect your case. What if the defense realizes that your answer was wrong? Will it change the outcome of your case
