If you accidentally set the FREESYNC to "ON" on your LG 34" 34UM61 monitor, then the screen will indefinitely flicker and you cannot remove the flickering. You think you can turn FREESYNC to OFF using the monitor menu button but the menu is greyed out and you cannot go to the FREESYNC setting.

Solution to remove the flickering due to FREESYNC being ON, you have to set FREESYNC to OFF using the LG On Screen Control software on Windows or Mac which you have to download onto your computer. Then go to Gaming Mode tab and you can set the FREESYNC back to OFF which will stop the flickering on the monitor.
