At a packed fringe meeting at UNITE conference organised by the Construction Rank & File and the Blacklist Support Group, Jailed Shrewsbury pickets Ricky Tomlinson and Arthur Murray were presented with a "Working Class Legend" award and a "Working Class Hero" hip flask respectively.
Steve Ballard also received a "Working Class Hero" hip flask for his untiring work for the Justice For The Shrewsbury Pickets campaign over 50 years, and Joanne Fowler received the prestigious Robert Tressell award for her essential work in setting up Families Against Blacklisting.
