As is well documented the Reds display at the Bournemouth Air Festival on the Saturday was the last 9 ship display of the 2011 season with the tragic loss of red 4 Flt Lt Jon Egging on his return to Hurn Airport, this together wth the further loss of Flt Lt Sean Cunningham in a training accident at RAF Scampton in November added to the sadness.
