Take part in the Kidney PREM 2022 from Saturday 1 October.
The annual kidney patient reported experience measure (PREM) is completely anonymous. The survey will be open for six weeks from Saturday 1 October and will be available until Saturday 12 November 2022. We encourage everyone over the age of 17 and living with chronic kidney disease (CKD) to take part. This includes those attending a UK hospital renal unit or satellite unit but not yet on renal replacement therapy and anyone who has received a kidney transplant.

We are also delighted to announce that, with the support of the British Association for Paediatric Nephrology, this year’s Kidney PREM is a truly national event and has been extended to all thirteen Paediatric Centres, allowing the collection of views from young people (aged 12 years or older) and parents/carers of children who are receiving treatment for any stage of chronic kidney disease.
This year the survey will primarily be collected digitally where there will be an opportunity for you to leave free text comments alongside the full Kidney PREM scale in order to recognise and capture the impact of Covid-19 on people’s experience, as well as give units further information on what they can do in response to their patients’ reported experience.
The online Kidney PREM is available in English, Welsh, Urdu and Gujarati. For those who prefer or do not have access to a smart phone, tablet or PC, paper surveys are available on request at your unit.
