This album documents various vocal chants performed by the Kemak People of Marobo at ceremonies to mark the social life of the community and individuals. The chants are of both a ceremonial and festive nature. There are also recordings of two instruments the na’go (a type of jew’s harp) and the genu (a wind instrument made from a notched reed).
