Report prepared Nov. 4, 2010 for KSA2 - Saudi Arabian, English-language TV.
Intro: Last week [Oct. 28 or 29 -- news reports vary] in Afghanistan, anti-narcotics agents from that country and the United States carried out a major raid against heroin production facilities. And for the first time Russian agents participated. The raid succeeded in destroying laboratories and a large heroin stockpile. But that success was marred a couple of days later, when Afghan president Hamid Karzai strongly protested that the Russian agents took part in the raid without his government's knowledge.
