Murgh Musallam Recipe | How to make murgh musallam | No Oven No Tandoor Whole Chicken Recipe
Today, I am going to make Murgh musallam - Murgh means chicken and musallam means whole. So, this whole chicken recipe is a Mughlai dish originating from the Indian subcontinent. It consists of whole chicken marinated in a ginger-garlic paste, stuffed with boiled eggs and seasoned with spices like saffron, cinnamon, cloves, poppy seeds, cardamom and chilli.

Ingredients:
For Nut Paste:-
15 almonds (soaked in water)
15 cashews (soaked in water)
2 tsp chironji (soaked in water)
1 tsp poppy seeds (soaked in water)
4 green cardamom
1 mace
4 cloves
For Chicken Marination:-
4 tsp curd
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste
1 tsp salt
2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp black pepper powder
1/2 tsp garam garam
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp kasuri methi powder
1 tsp lemon juice
For Stuffing Inside Chicken Cavity:-
2 eggs (boiled and fried)
For Gravy:
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp ghee
2 black cardamom
1 cinnamon stick
1 bay leaf
2 onion (finely chopped)
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste
1 tsp kashmiri chili powder
1 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
2 tomato puree
1/2 cup yogurt
10-12 strands of saffron (soaked in milk)
Process:-
Marinate the chicken for atleast an hour
Prepare the nut paste
Fry boiled eggs and put it inside the chicken cavity after chicken is marinated
Fry the marinated chicken from all sides properly
Prepare the gravy and cook the chicken from all sides for approximately 30 minutes on low flame
Garnish with egg slice, onion rings, coriander leaves and green chilli
