In school we’re taught that clients that get GREEN, aka “greenies” aka chloronychia, can happen either between your client’s nail plate and the nail bed, or between the acrylics/tips and the nail plate. When a client has green, you shouldn’t immediately panic, but it’s probably best to not continue to pile on more acrylic.
The client in this video broke her nail, and admitted to picking around it. The Acrylic tip was definitely lifting, and due to it being open for more than a week, we believe water from showers and washing her hands got into the space, creating a nice moist home for GREENIES to grow.
See how we clean up this Greenie and leave the client with a nice clean slate to let her nails grow out.
