Friday's ruling by the Appeals chamber of the international criminal court has thrown the jubilee coalition into a spin with politicians from across the political divide also advising President Uhuru Kenyatta to boycott his trial that is scheduled to start in two week's time. The Appeals Chamber ruled that deputy president William Ruto must be continuously present in court, a condition the prosecutor insists should apply to Kenyatta's trial. And as Alex Chamwada reports, the ruling seems to have amplified calls for the United Nations Security Council to defer the Kenyan cases.
