Early October, 2024, the dam at Courtright Reservoir closed for maintenance, sealing off the far end of the Dusy-Ershim Trail from the rest of the world. Our small group sets off on an epic trip to complete this historic trail, in the Sierra mountains outside of Shaver Lake, California, in both directions! We ended up calling it the #DoubleDusy. In part three, the group makes the trek from Thompson Lake back to Kaiser Pass. We stop at a few campsites along the way like Summit Lake, East Lake, and Ershim Lake. The Jeep in the group struggles a bit with only RWD for this part of the trip.
