Nigeria is due to release its inflation figures for April. They are expected to show a 40% rise in food prices. Africa's most populous nation has suffered violent unrest over food price increases in recent months, including attacks on grain warehouses. Insecurity, a weak local currency and high energy costs are blamed for the price increases.
