where is Valiasr street in Tehran?
Valiasr Street or Pahlavi Street is the tallest tree-lined street in Tehran and also the tallest street in the Middle East with a length of 18 km, which starts from Railway Square in the south middle of Tehran and reaches Tajrish Square in Shemiran area in the north of Tehran. This street was built by the order of Reza Shah Pahlavi to connect the two palaces, including the Marble Palace in Tehran and the Saad Abad Palace in Shemiran.
Its original name was "Pahlavi Special Road" and before the Revolution of 1978, it was called "Pahlavi Street". After the victory of the Revolution, this street was renamed "Mossadegh Street", but after about two and a half years, this street was officially renamed "Valiasr Street".
the entire street is covered with 18,000 sycamore trees on both sides.
Many large shopping malls, public parks, restaurants, museums, cultural centers and national and international offices are located on this street. This street is also one of the traditional shopping centers of Tehran and large parks of Mellat and Saei are located next to this street.
