This was one of them guns I never intended to buy but very glad I did.
I was in London many years ago buying something much more expensive and spotted this SMK in the 2nd hand bargain section, The RFD offered to throw it in with the other deal for extra £100.
My first plan was to use it as a cheap guest gun for novice shooters as it's simple single shot bolt action is virtually idiot proof and Co2 is much safer than HPA but after playing with it a bit it was obvious it could be a lot more than that.
I tweaked the hammer spring adjuster a bit to get it up to bang on U.K. power limit, disabled the annoying auto safety catch (think SMK did this from factory to later models), fitted a decent 2nd hand scope and mounts and backdraft silencer then added some sling swivels and took it out on a pest control session, it then spent the next 5 years out in all weathers in wet muddy ditches and crawling around barns earning it's keep and it never let me down, it gives just over 50 full power shots on 2 x Co2 capsules and is super light weight so easy to carry around and because it cost so little to buy I never needed to worry about it getting damaged, many rabbits, pigeons and rats wish they had never met this cheap little gun and many happy farmers are glad they did.
It is now back doing it's original mission as a cheap no nonsense guest gun and it is loved by everyone that shoots it.
