Week 2 of getting back into dunking. Last week I was testing the waters with just a 5min session to see how my body responded. Was pain free, including the days after. So this time I went for 20mins of dunking. Very happy to be pain free again.
I also tried some one handed dunks (which I've previously been scared of because it's often an uneven landing). But my body held up well and it seems like the kind of thing my body can tolerate as long as I don’t overdo it. So will probably keep the sessions around 15-25mins for a while and see how that goes before slowly adding more jump volume.
Also very happy to get my first 9'3" dunk since my injury. And I got fairly close on 9'6" too. Just had to l limit my attempts. I probably have it in me but just need to be careful and let it happen when it happens rather than force it (and risk injury again).
