"No Me Toques Mal" was inspired by the original song "Muchacha y La Otra".
When I first heard this song, I knew that this would be part of my way of expressing my hurt. To bring the depths of being a woman to the surface; communicating the feeling of only being seen as a sexual object, devoid of my beauty, humanity, and all that makes this body and spirit a sacred space.
It is a call to reclaim those lost boundaries, to relearn how to connect and express myself with confidence, truth, and joy.
The song translates from Spanish to "you don't want to know me, you just want to eat me."
I am honoured to stand behind this project, which shares a beautiful message of being strong in our power, sensuality and playfulness, while still being clear with our personal boundaries.

I am grateful for this circle piece of plastic that is called a hula hoop. What might seem like a novelty actually saved my life by providing me with a sacred space to move and discover my juiciness, to get out of my head, and ground me in my body? Learning how to give this was a huge breakthrough in connecting with myself.
