Dark Tales was a short series of feature-length plays broadcast in early 1997. This play adapts Richard Marsh's largely forgotten novel 'The Beetle'. The Beetle was a big success at the time - and it was published in the same year as Dracula, which only sold a tenth as many copies. Yet these days their positions have clearly been reversed...
