Hi, I'm Tom Bradford, this video is about how to apply for an investor visa for Ireland.

1. You invest 1m euros for 5 years and 6 months. There are also other routes which allow you to invest less than that - I cover these in my other videos on Irish investor and entrepreneur visas. In return for your investment, you and your family will receive Irish residency.
You and your family can then apply for Irish citizenship, and get free access to the EU and UK.

2. Before investing, you apply by completing the Irish investor visa application form, supported by the mandatory documents we prepare for you.

3. The Department of Justice then gives you a provisional letter of approval. This is great, because it means you don't have to invest, until you know the visa will be granted.
Within the following month, you invest the 1m euros.

4. You then visit Ireland in person. I meet you at Dublin Airport with my local Irish adviser and accompany you to a private appointment with the Department of Justice.

5. You and your family then receive your Residency Permission.

6. You aren't required to be physically present in Ireland. You only need visit Ireland once per calendar year to maintain your residency.

7. The Residency Permission lasts for 2 years. After that, it is extended for 3 years, and then that it runs indefinitely. We just renew it for you every 5 years.

8. In terms of your investment, 5 years and 6 months after the investment has been made the 1m investment is returned to you. You don't then need to make any further investment to continue to have residency.

The benefits of the ireland investor visa program are:

1. You don't need to make the investment until you know that your application will be successful - that's the pre-approval process;

2. The investment is returned to you after 5 years and 6 months, assuming you use the investment funds that I work with;

3. There is no requirement to speak English;

4. You get freedom of movement within Ireland and the UK;

5. And the Residency is indefinite: renewable every 5 years, without limit;

6. To qualify, you only have to be in Ireland for 1 day for each of the 5 years before you get permanent residency;

7. You can also apply for Irish citizenship after 5 years, and your spouse and children can apply for citizenship as well:

8. So the Ireland Investor visa Programme is a residency program. But once you have your residence permit, you can apply for Irish citizenship.
