Miltonia orchids are fairly easy to care for, as long as you know a thing or two about orchids. Unlike their distant relatives the Miltoniopsis, Miltonias are well suited even for home environments. Here are the basic cultural needs you should keep in mind:
Miltonia orchids like intermediate to warm temperatures, a normal comfortable temperature to you will be well suited for them as well. The majority of Miltonias will tolerate extremes, but they are not ideal.
They light bright filtered light, but can do well in an intermediate light environment as well, depending on species or variety. Direct sun is to be avoided, so try filtering it by using a sheer curtain.
Miltonias should never be left to dry out too much, or they will display accordion shaped leaves and wrinkled pseudobulbs. Water as the media approaches dryness to keep this orchid happy.
Humidity will help these orchids too, I would say that over 40-50% would be fairly ok for the majority of them, particularly the hybrids.
The media you use with your Miltonia will depend on your environment. Usually for intermediate and not very humid environments a mix of bark and sphagnum moss will work well.
