This was my first time at this spot and I liked the intimacy of this small venue. The stage was the perfect size and there wasn't a barrier between the fans. I was standing so close that my shins would knock against the side if I swayed forward. And no bouncers present policing the site. Everyone behaved themselves so there wasn't a need for them. That meant I could bring my gear in without having to go through a metal detector or emptying my pockets prior to entry.

Because I was first in line, I walked up to the stage and positioned myself center, right. My goal was to shoot at a slight angle so I could capture all band members in the shot. Because the stage was small, that was easy.

With opening acts, they allow me an opportunity to square my shot and set my levels. What gets set here is carried into the consecutive acts' sets with some minor tweaks if needed.

Toledo weren't too loud but because they were a two-piece, I knew volume would be manageable. I was happy with the end result.
