1. Two or more people owning the same land.
2. Two types of co-ownership - joint tenancy and tenancy in common.
3. In joint tenancy there is right of survivorship and four unities.
4. Unity of possession, interest, title and time.
5. Therefore, joint tenants have concurrent and identical rights in the land. They own the land in undivided shares.
