St Mary's College Year 7 students have created an animation video in conjunction with JoAnne Bouzianis-Sellick (SA cinematographer and creator and presenter of ABC series Tiny OZ) - also inducted in the SA Hall of Fame in 2018 and local artist, designer, and filmmaker James Parker. This project was inspired by the history of the college – oldest girls’ school in SA (154 years) and students researched and wrote the script – and were guided by our artists in residence to create the sets and props and film assets.
It is a brilliant way of learning and engaging students in collaboration, project using technology and of course storytelling. The short film was launched at a special red-carpet event on International Women’s Day (Wed 8 March, 2023).
