the Super ships are ships that are included in the Expansion Kit as a bonus. there's Super Falcon, Super Stingray and Super Cat and all 3 pilots have a different portrait when you use these ships. only each pilot can drive their own respective ship.
of the 3, Super Falcon is the only one that is a 100% upgrade over the original. weight is the second lowest in the game which is good in this game and all 3 grade stats are increased by 1.
still. it's not on a very high tier due to how stats are distributed since the original Blue Falcon is among the worst machines in this game. the high body is useful for beginners though.
in this run i tried using a normal FZX rom alongside the EK disc to load the machines but i have to assign them every time the game is reset so for future runs i'll be using a normal FZX cart with the EK. load times are also longer since this time the game is actually reading from the disc instead of the flashcart like when i was using the combined rom.
i'm using an N64 with the UltraHDMI video mod installed. this lets me record the best possible quality from console and play well in a modern TV.
