Detailing Mode is a new way to open and detail large @solidworks drawings quickly and efficiently. Similar to Quick View or Lightweight mode, the full models are not loaded. In fact, no models are even necessary for the drawing to be modified and detailed. This would allow a designer with a powerful workstation to open the full model and create the necessary views for the drawing and save it for later detailing and manipulation. Detailing view was introduced in 2020 but the 2021 release enables a much wider range of activities to be performed in detailing mode. Create detail views, broken views, modify annotations and dimensions, add dimensions, balloons, and other common items.
