Linear Graded Hammers make for a smooth playing experience by giving each key a unique weight.

Beside detailed sampling and key design, the CLP-685 also has counterweights that adjust key balance, allowing delicate pianissimo from anywhere on the key. The GP Response Damper Pedal offers a grand piano-style resistance curve that starts light and grows heavier as the pedal is depressed to emulate nuances of delicate pedaling.
