So this was something I wanted to do for a long time - learn jumpstyle. I got into Hardstyle in 2011 and it got me into EDM. It’s been my favorite genre on and off until I realized its significance to me, and for that, I love it. So it was only natural I learned to dance to it. This is with about 2 months of practice, after learning Shuffling, Cutting Shapes, and DnB step. This is actually my first time ‘jumping’ somewhere more open than a space of about 3x5 feet, haha.

Unfortunately, after watching what I shot, I saw I was not bringing my feet up high enough for the basic jumpstyle/hardjump technique. I’ll chalk that up to wearing shoes that were a little big and loose so I had some trouble there. Either way, next time will be better.

In any case (digress, digress) I wanted to throw this together to document my progress for the short time I’ve been doing Jumpstyle, and to see how I compare a month or 2 from now.
