Those shown competing include Bulgaria's Nikola Padevsky, the only Grandmaster at the tournament, Britain's G Wright, British Southern Countries Chess Union Champion Raymond Keene, Yugoslavia's W Mihaijcism, Danish champion Jacobson and the only woman in the tournament Britain's D Dobson.
