Cybertruck as an Investment. Newsletter: [ Ссылка ]
People are trying to sell their Cybertruck reservations for $10,000
Buy the truck, drive it, use it, enjoy it, and Turo and ride-hailing. Uber could add an UberCyber option so people can ride-hail a cybertruck. Uber is already doing ride-hailing for EVs, but really what people want are stainless steel zombie apocalypse vehicle.
Turo is a software platform that helps individuals their cars to strangers.
As for Turo, Cybertruck is going to be the best vehicle you could possibly have on Turo
I’ll keep you guys posted on the prices when the Cybertrucks hit the Turo market. Best way to keep in touch is subscribe here and/or join the weekly newsletter on acceptable.substack.com
In 2021 I had a Tesla Model 3 and Model Y and I rented them both out on Turo. People would drive more than 45 minutes to pickup my Tesla and drive it for a few days to decide if they want to buy one. People also wanted to test them out for longer road trips.
People were paying 150 - 160 per day and after insurance and Turo fees, I was profiting $100-$110 per day, per vehicle. Every region has a different market rate. I suspect that Cybertruck on Turo will earn $200 - $350 PER DAY.
I can definitely see the cyberbeast variation earning $350 per day. Remember that has a 0-60 in 2.6 seconds. That will make the eyes roll back in your head. For some reason people want that.
If you’re the only one in your metropolitan area with a Cybertruck on Turo then I will have a monopoly on the Cybertruck rental business.
I could see people renting it just for fun of it. Take on road trip. Take it offroading.
Let my know in the comments if I should rent out my cybertruck for offroading
People are also going to rent cybertruck for events bachelor parties. Imagine rolling up to prom a cybertruck. They’ll be taking a lot of photos and videos. I think people will rent it out just for making videos. A music video with Cybertruck will get the clicks. Travis Scott has already set the precedent for featuring cybertruck in a music video. The song is dog crap and the video still has 68 million views.
There are people in every city who want to rent out a Cybertruck for a couple days to a week. If there’s no else around with a Cybertruck on Turo then you’ll be set up to make those monthly payments.
I stopped renting out my Teslas because I didn’t like cleaning cars. After a couple of months the project was not giving me energy anymore. In that particular situation it wouldn’t make sense to have someone run it for me while I was traveling and doing other work.
I bought the Model 3 for $54,000, put 30k miles on it over two years then I sold it CarMax for $48,000. I still have the Model Y as my personal vehicle.
I’m definitely going through with at least one of my Cybertruck reservations. I will get see what the economics are like in my region for the Cybertrucks rentals and ride-hailing business. Ideally I can find a worker to help me with it, cleaning trucks and meeting the customers.
It’ll be super fun in the beginning to share cybertruck with people so I’ll definitely run that for a few months then I’ll see what Cybertrcuk resale values are and decide if I want to sell one or both and/or keep one as my personal vehicle.
I might need a bigger garage.
