Blue John is an extremely rare gemstone only found in Castleton, Derbyshire. It's a beautiful variant of a rather common and mundane mineral called Fluorspar. This mine is locked shut and I have been given a wonderful opportunity by Elise Freshwater-Blizzard and the National Trust to explore this mine.
