Mashhad Nation Park is one of the largest and most important parks in Mashhad, which is located in the west of this city. This park hosts the Mellat amusement park, which is famous for its very modern playground equipment and merry-go-round.
Mellat Park is one of the sights of Mashhad and one of the oldest parks in the city. The area of this park is 720,000 square meters (72 hectares) and more than 35,000 old trees of several decades have been planted in this beautiful park. There is a lake on the eastern side of the garden, and behind the lake is the Veterans Complex, which is a service center for spinal cord amputation veterans.
