This #YouthWorkWeek, we're celebrating modern-day superheroes. In a year where a global pandemic has exacerbated issues for young people including employment, mental health and digital exclusion, we've commissioned an interactive mural near London’s Brick Lane to celebrate five remarkable youth work champions.
Avon Tyrrell’s Daniel became an outdoor learning instructor six years ago because of the massive benefits it had for him growing up, as a diversion from being a young carer.
Their individual stories are incredible but this artwork is also about recognising every youth worker across our country. Every person working and changing young lives each day. You have tirelessly supported young people over what has been a devastating 18 months – and you are all heroes. Visit the mural at 67 Hanbury Street or show your support by taking on our 8k Your Way Challenge right here: welba.app/ukyouth
